Shirley Hwong is an environmental commissioner for the city of Monterey Park. Not only that, but she basically treats me like a second mom, and was my landlady for two months, cooking meals for me and having daily conversations with me about random topics.
I’m glad that somehow our paths were able to cross, though they were in a rather limited fashion, but I’m hoping we can continue bring out the uniqueness in one another in the future.
Her heart is warm, and I hope I can one day welcome people into my home as she welcomed me into hers. I wish her all the best and nothing but happiness in the future.
