The Second VOC event of the year required manual labor, and boy, was it a lot of manual labor. Never again after that event would I require a “permission slip” for a club event. The permission slip only meant it would be painful, obviously, but some people seemed to enjoy it.

Howard Nguyen, Vice President.

Judy & Sazzy… doing who knows what?

Hiep, sitting down like a loser.

Thao & Minh

Eden, MacKenzie, & Noemi
Anyway, we were all standing around waiting for the people to arrive to give us something to do. The park people came and kidnapped people – putting them all in a van.

Jerick & Cross, in a Park Ranger Van

Freshman ! Well, they were freshman at the time anyway.

Here’s a picture of the park ranger kidnapping people: Thao, Hiep, Thanh, Linh, & Tiana
Anyway, it took them literally 40 minutes to an hour for them to come back. In the meanwhile, we decided to play on the playground. Some organization. Stupid park !!!!!

Here’s slacking off at its extreme level.

Brian, Jose, Sazzy, Thiep, and Judy all “playing” games.
Finally, it came time for us to do some work.

Jerick, Loc, and Tuan playing with shears.

Here’s Howard & Hiep. How romantic.

Ahh, the digging of a hole.

Here’s various more degrees of manual labor taken. Not very fun. Very fake smiles.

Oh, Nam Ho was at this event! Jai ho!

Oh em gee! It’s Kimberly Vu & Carmen Tran!

Minh & MacKenzie. Manual laborers.

Here’s us taking a break. There wasn’t much free food at this event – we got free licorice though, which by the way is a laxative!. To think about it… playing with dirt… and then eating licorice. Did we wash our hands in between? I can hardly remember.

And thus the day comes to a close, VOC done for the day. A lot of people complained about the event. After that day, I decided to have more indoor events from now on. DUN DUN DUN.
