Flashback: Junior Year, VOC: Mile Square Regional Park Public Lands Day

The Second VOC event of the year required manual labor, and boy, was it a lot of manual labor. Never again after that event would I require a “permission slip” for a club event. The permission slip only meant it would be painful, obviously, but some people seemed to enjoy it.

Anyway, we were all standing around waiting for the people to arrive to give us something to do. The park people came and kidnapped people – putting them all in a van.

Anyway, it took them literally 40 minutes to an hour for them to come back. In the meanwhile, we decided to play on the playground. Some organization. Stupid park !!!!!

Here’s us taking a break. There wasn’t much free food at this event – we got free licorice though, which by the way is a laxative!. To think about it… playing with dirt… and then eating licorice. Did we wash our hands in between? I can hardly remember.

And thus the day comes to a close, VOC done for the day. A lot of people complained about the event. After that day, I decided to have more indoor events from now on. DUN DUN DUN.
