My First Week of Work.

Not really.

I moved in Sunday, after struggling to find a parking space due to the fact that graduation was going on at the exact same time. But now, I’m living with three of my coworkers (4 singles, 1 apartment). Two of them wasn’t even there last night cause they both have cars, and maybe lives. Me and Robert went to price center (which was closed), so we went further and got pizza at Dominoes, and then we went shopping at Ralph’s. Walking back, it was about a 3 mile walk which sucked! (Sunday)

Monday I went to work… and, it was more basic redundant training that is unnecessary. I feel as though hands on would be more efficient (we don’t start that till Wednesday). Also, we moved stuff from pick-up-trucks, and loaded them into storage, which was pretty fun and not that bad. That’s pretty much it for today!

Tuesday I went to my actual conference clerk – where we learned the inside outs of the office. We also got to load stuff onto carts, and stand around doing nothing most of the day. It was pretty chill.

Wednesday was my first official day of worked. I worked with my student lead David, as well as James. I got to drive a cart around… and I crashed many times backing up, but no one needs to know. At the job it’s eitehr really easy (nothing to do), or really stressful (lots of stuff happening at once). I saw all of that today. Later that night I was with Robert in the living room bored…. so I walked outside and said “I’m bored… Can somebody hear me?” Then a random girl named Ann said she did, and would come visit. Later, we went to play monopoly 2 floors above us, and then we all forfeited (and I left), when they went “into the closet”.

On Thursday I went to work at the Environmental Place… where I had fun sorting through things, and helping to scan them. I also had a lunch reunion with John Torres, and visited him at work. Then I worked back at Conference Services. I soon learned that it’s illegal to work over 40 hours a week, so I consulted my boss, and he said he’d work something out, when I found out that I was assigned 40 hours next week by Conference services I…..

On Friday I worked again at the Environmental Place… and it was pretty chill. Later that night, I watched “Catch me if you can” with Gabe and Art. Then, me, Michelle, Ruby, Robert, and Yesenia talked that night and then prepared for work the next day.

I’m currently at work, with nothing to do. My co-worker Robert went to go deliver some carts. In retrospect, this job isn’t so bad, but the only problem is making sure I don’t go over 40 hours a week. I am a law-abiding US Citizen.
