Today in a nutshell:
1) P90x
2) Class
3) I thought there was a California Review meeting, but it was moved to 3. Fail on my part.
4) Goodies with Adam. LONG LINE. I’m never waiting in that long a line for food ever again (unless it’s Phil’s).
5) Class
6) It was time for the actual California Review meeting. Needless to say…. it was the strangest meeting I’ve ever been to. Although it was decently organized, I just felt a little out of place. It’s always awkward going to a meeting where everyone already knows one another, but I’m glad I gave it a shot. My first issue comes out tomorrow
7) Class – I nearly fell asleep in Video Game Studies.
8 ) Santori Greek Island Grill & Burger King with Tyler. Delicious. Coupons were even more delicious.
9 ) PAW Meeting, which was pretty enjoyable. The picture of the day is set to the PAW meeting location within Warren College’s very own Student Activity Center. Every week on these couches we plan events for the Warren Community. I found out meetings will be moved to Mondays at 9PM, which is pretty late, but shouldn’t be a problem for me. PAW Mondays are a tradition, and have been a tradition from me ever since I joined September of 2009. (the meeting day has almost never ever changed).
10) I watched Glee with Sandy, and I believe I got her addicted, which is good! It’s a bummer that the PAW meetings had to move to the time of her own Open Door Hours, but I’m sure we’ll figure something out.
11) I went to visit Amy, Angie, and Germaine but they were all doing homework so I left them alone.
12) I finish the night reading for my Computer Game Studies class (now that I was able to borrow the book from Katie, and Johan scanned me some of the readings).
| With the state facing a $25.4 billion budget deficit for the 2011-2012 fiscal year, Governor Jerry Brown proposed $1.4 billion in cuts to the higher education system in California as a part of the new state budget. Proposing a total of $12.5 billion in reductions to state spending, Brown revealed his plan to implement $500 million in spending reductions to the University of California, $500 million to the California State University and $400 million to the California Community Colleges systems, the San Jose Mercury News reported. That’s just wonderful. I bet the Democrats that voted for Jerry Brown are now rolling over in their graves (although they’re technically not dead yet). | ![]() |

On January 10th, 1964, “Introducing the Beatles,” the first Beatles Album is released in the US by Vee-Jay Records, The A side features “I Want to Hold Your Hand” and “I Saw Her Standing There”. Though I think the Beatles are just “okay”, I think their music has had a strong impact on American cultural ideas and values. My favorite song by them would have to be Hey Jude… it’s just so soothing. |
P.S.: Hey Jude. Don’t make it bad. Take a sad song, and make it better. Remember, to let her into your heart…. then you can start, to make it better. Hey Jude. Don’t be afraid. You were made to…. go out and get her. The minute, you let her under your skin, then you begin… to make it better.
