Things are finally starting to stack up on my “To-Do” list. And it’s not because I’ve been procrastinating – it’s more along the lines of I want to get it all done so I can have a little bit of breathing space over the weekend.
The day “started” at midnight with me, Amy, & Angie playing Scrabble. I ultimately won, with the help of Germaine. “QI”, with the Q being on the triple letter score, helped guide me to victory. I did struggle along the way, making sure to note the impossible amount of vowels I had to dealt with midpoint through the game (picture of the day). I think in the end good ultimately triumphs evil.
After sleeping and waking up, I did P90x, went to class, ate at Round Table with Adam, went to my next class, went to a WTCC meeting with Tyler (which, again was surprisingly organized. We sorted poker chips into bags for the upcoming poker tournament which I won’t even be able to make because I’ll be in class). Then, me and Tyler headed to the library, but before we got there we were bombarded with a economist working on a research report who asked us a bunch of questions (us being me, Tyler, Johan, Lauren Swan, and a random girl). It was along the lines of would you donate to a non-profit business in a developing/developed country if you a) never got the money back b) got the money back c) got the money back with profit. I answered respectively and then got on with my life.
After that I went to my Computer Game Studies class, where my ridiculous professor created the worse possible way to hand back our quizzes – he called our names ONE BY ONE and waited for everyone to walk down to hand back the quizzes. Even after it was 5 minutes after class was already out, he had the nerve to shuffle up the essays we handed in and straighten it out, before calling more names. In the end, I finally got my quiz and me, Tyler, and Johann migrated over to Price Center and Goodies in an effort to get food. Then, NRHH. Yay. Then, ICRA. Yay. The two new events for the quarter will indeed be: Mardi Gras themed-dinner at a dining hall and a Toy Story 3 Screening, with a potential/toy/book drive in collaboration with the Invisible Children. Shrug. By the end of the night, me Matt, Rashika, & Amul walked down back to Warren (Rashika needed coffee). And I was pretty much done for the night.
A few hours later Tyler came over and we started picking songs for Open-Mic Night. Hopefully, all goes well, but it doens’t look like we have much time to practice.
The night ended with me compiling my huge to-do list. Here it is in no particular order:
1) Compile dance track for Open-Mic Night (event on Friday)
2) Practice for Open-Mic Night (Thursday)
3) Ancient Greece Source Analysis (Due Monday)
4) Study for Ancient Greece quiz (Due Friday)
5) Order Valentine’s Day Supplies for Event (Sometime this week with help of Geetha!)
6) Pirates Paper (Due Monday)
7) Play with the SNES & Write Paper (Due Wednesday)
8) Study for
Computer Game Studies Quiz (Wednesday)
9) Get my Amazon MONEY!!!! 😀
10) California Review Article (Due Monday)
11) Prepare for ICRA Leadership Development Series (Next Thursday)
| The House of Representatives voted to repeal the Obama administration’s signature health-care legislation Wednesday evening, a vote the newly elected Republican majority called a fulfillment of their No. 1 campaign promise. The bill, dubbed the “Repealing the Job-Killing Health Care Law Act,” passed 245-189. Three Democrats joined a unanimous Republican caucus on the vote. The legislation is unlikely to make it past the Democratic-controlled Senate, where Majority Leader Harry Reid has said he won’t bring it to the floor for a vote. And even if it did, it would face a certain veto by President Barack Obama. But Rep. Mike Pence, a leading GOP conservative, dismissed Democratic criticism that Wednesday’s vote was a “gimmick.” Harry Reid, why must you be such an asshole? | ![]() |

On January 19th, 1920, The United States Senate votes against joining the League of Nations. Good for them. As seen by the United States participation in the United Nations, we have failed to sustain peace in the world.
Untangling alliances = bad. The Security Council in the United Nations is probably one of the most corrupt things/stupidest things I have ever heard of it. Why do these nations DESERVE veto power over all the other ones. FAIL. |
P.S.: Love so strong, then you moved on. Now I’m hung up in suspense, because you’re bringing me in and you’re kicking me out again.
