In honor of Dr. Seuss, I have entitled the day’s entry to one of his incomparable poems.
Congratulations!
Today is your day.
You’re off to Great Places!
You’re off and away!
You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself any direction you choose.
You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the guy who’ll decide where to go.
You’ll look up and down streets. Look’em over with care. About some you will say, “I don’t choose to go there.” With your head full of brains and your shoes full of feet, you’re too smart to go down a not-so-good street.
And you may not find any you’ll want to go down. In that case, of course, you’ll head straight out of town. It’s opener there in the wide open air.
Out there things can happen and frequently do to people as brainy and footsy as you.
And when things start to happen, don’t worry. Don’t stew. Just go right along. You’ll start happening too.
Oh! The Places You’ll Go!
(Read the rest somewhere else, this is MY BLOG. 🙂
Today, in a nutshell: I went to Work, got ditched at Pines by a friend (KYONG!), went to the library to visit Geetha and kind of study, went back to Work, went to Foodworx to pick up a salad, went home to take a nap, ate my salad, went to class, went to Earl’s to get a drink (cause I was thirsty because of the salad eaten before class), went to my room to study, went to Earl’s again with Kunal, Kaslow, and Amul to get a milkshake where I temporarily bumped into Matt Olson, went back to my apartment and had a visit from Sandy (who didn’t want to watch 24), and then finished up my homework and watched Obama’s State of the Union address. For going to Earl’s twice in the day, itis my picture of the day.
| America is heading in the right direction and now needs to reshape some priorities to ensure future strength and stability, President Barack Obama told the nation Tuesday in his second State of the Union address. Sounding themes of optimism and pragmatism in his 61-minute speech, Obama called for increasing investments in key areas such as education and clean energy while freezing some government spending for five years in an attempt to address simultaneous needs for economic growth and fiscal balance. No comment until I finish watching it. | ![]() |

On January 25th, 1949, The first Emmy Awards ( Televisions equivalent of the Oscars ) are presented At the Hollywood Athletic Club ( they were not really a National award more to do with local Television in Los Angeles ) but grew over the years from that point to include national and international television. Not until 24 won the Emmy for season 5 did I really care for this. |
P.S.: Oh, this has gotta be the good life. This has gotta be the good life. This could really be a good life, good life. I say, oh, got this feeling that you can’t fight. Lik ethis city is on fire tonight. This could really be a good life, a good, good life. Oh, a good, good life.
