January 26th 2011
Today was a day like Woe. Okay, not really, but “Love like Woe” was practically stuck in my head the entire day, so I had to deal with its positive and negative ramifications.
I woke up, did P90x, and then went immediately to Work. While there, I actually had to start packaging a box to ship for repair for my boss…. after that was done I went to class, went to an WTCC meeting with Tyler, and then went to Pines with Tyler. We semi-studied while there, and then played some Dirty Scrabble in the commuter lounge, producing ridiculous words (but it did help kill 25 minutes). After that was my Computer Game Studies class where we got a chance to play the Wii game Warioware: Smooth Moves, which was a pretty hilarious game. Cheerleaders are cute ! :D! Anyway, after class me and Tyler headed to Goodies where we ate, and then immediately after had an NRHH meeting.
My picture of the day is of Fireside Lounge because that is the location where most of my Wednesdays end up taking place – being consumed by both NRHH (National Residence Hall Honorary) and ICRA (Inter-College Residents Association) meetings.
Who knew I would be scrambling to get scissors to miss an icebreaker, yet still ended up having to do the icebreaker anyway….. but it was fun to get to teach some persons how to make paper hearts…. a test of my ability which will come up very soon for the Valentine’s Day event! After that was the ICRA meeting, where our commitee made up of Geetha, me, Rashika, Amul, Marie Lea, and several other persons came up with the name for our epic event – Your Story 3: Night of Nostalgia. I gotta say, it has surpassed my Firefly Flag Rush name for an event. After the meeting me, Matt, and Lauren headed back to the ICRA office to both return the scissors and pick up Spirit Night Dance Posters. We proceeded to Earl’s where we saw Amul pop in randomly… after which we were able to deliver Tiffany Saw’s December 2010 OTM to her door (it was nice to see T.saw & Michelle again). Immediately after we went back to our apartment Germaine and Camp Kesem stole various cans from us to donate to their cause. I felt good helping them for a little bit, even if they did reject me last year. HEHE. And the night ended with me chatting and studying away.
| A new site called Do Nothing for 2 Minutes challenges visitors to do exactly what it says — absolutely nothing. Created by PopJam CEO Alex Tew and developer Ben Dowling, the page features an appropriately ascetic layout. Users are asked to sit in front of a seaside photograph, listen to the sound of waves crashing against the shore, and that’s about it. A timer at the top of the page counts down from two minutes, but, if you touch your mouse before the time is up, the timer will reset, and the page will remind you that you’ve failed. I tried it, and failed. Oh well! | ![]() |

On January 26th, 1988, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Musical The Phantom of the Opera ( Based on the French novel Le Fantôme de l’Opéra 1909 by Gaston Leroux ) has its first performance on Broadway at the Majestic Theatre in New York and is now the longest running Broadway show in history. I want to see this musical at some point…. mostly because of David Cook’s effort performance of the “Music of the Night”. |
P.S.: I don’t know anymore, what it’s for. I’m not even sure…. if there is anyone who is in the sun, will you help me to understand? ‘Cause I been caught in between all I wish for and all I need. Maybe you’re not even sure what it’s for, any more than me.
