Long day, with its relevant high and lows. Unfortunately, I was not on an island as my picture could suggest, but rather at the UCSD campus.
I woke up early this morning, and went to work (skipping my normal P90x routine, having woked up slightly later than I should have). At work I chilled for a couple of hours, until class. I calculated during work that I spent literally only 537 dollars on Phil’s in my 33 times I was there. At class, I found out my professor is a sweethart, literally. After class I asked him if I could turn in the last page of my essay, because I accidentally forgot to staple it together on Monday. He let me! <244444. I wish all professors were legitimately that nice. What a high. I then went to a WTCC meeting with Tyler, and guess what?! There was free Phil’s BBQ! Yum. It was definitely delicious, as I got roughly 7 ribs, equating to essentially a half rack dinner. I also got fries which was nice. After the meeting I went to Geisel for a bit to study for my video game studies quiz. In class I would find out the quiz was rescheduled to Monday, making my day even better. After class I went to the ICRA res-council dinner, where my day begin taking a turn for the worse, as I snapped a picture of one of the tables.
The food there wasn’t very good so I avoided it, and I had to talk to Windi about actually running for A.S. It was awkward to say the least. After that, I went to eat Dinner at Pines with Geetha & Bee-John which was nice. FRIED CHICKEN, YUM! At the ICRA meeting we had elections that night, and we re-elected Jorge and elected Yammi to the presidential and NCC positions respectively. It was awkward because we all confronted Jorge about his rudeness, and Windi had a talk with us after the meeting about it. It was long, with Rashika, me, Geetha, Cindy, Amul, BeeJohn, and Adam being present. After the meeting me, Rashika, Geetha, Amul all went to Windi’s car to drop off some stuff at the ICRA office before ultimately depaturing. Me and Amul would run into Lauren & Alex and talk to them about the highlights of the night subsequently. That was definitely a low.
| The U.S. Food and Drug Administration ordered more than 500 prescription cough, cold and allergy products off the market Wednesday, saying its office had not evaluated the medication for safety, effectiveness and quality. “Removing these unapproved products from the market will reduce potential risks to consumers,” said Deborah Autor, director of the Office of Compliance in the FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, in a news release from the agency. The FDA said removing the products from the market poses no harm to consumers, but taking the unapproved drugs may put the health of people at risk. ERMM, I guess this is good for America? | ![]() |
