Happy Pie Day everyone!. 3/14 has hit us all, and in homage to the epic Pie Gods I have provided a tasty picture of a pie. Today I woke up and studied in bed, proving to be quite futile. Somewhere in between I encountered one of the most ridiculous, yet entertaining videos on youtube ever…. of Rebecca Black. Watch below.
Afterwards, I went to help PAW with their Pie Day event, as we gave massive amounts of Pie away in an assembly line type fashion. I helped Lara with one station, as massive amounts of PAW persons were in attendance including: Kunal, Tyler, Alex, Matt Diamond, Amy, Rosario, Lauren, and Shirley. I was entertained by various guests along the way which included Michelle Wong, Louise, Daniel Jenkins, Baby Payne, and an Australian exchange study who talked a lot about alcohol. After that was over, me Tyler and Matt headed to take our Ancient Greece final. Easy stuff!
I was hungry after so I went to Price Center and ultimately ate Panda Express. ICK, I know it’s bad for my health but what’s a growing boy to do? I would study at the computers for a bit before joining Tyler, Matt, and Baby Payne at Round Table. I obviously didn’t eat, but we kept each other company before me and Tyler headed to our Computer Game Studies class. STUPIDEST. FINAL. EVER. Very obscure multiple choice questions referenced to 10 seconds of something he said in lecture. UGH, hopefully my documentary was enough to give me an A. I got an 85 on the midterm, so we’ll see how I do in the class… hopefully I’ve aced it. (Top 2/3 grades).
Afterwards, I went to the library to study for a bit more, bumping into Alexis. I headed to the price center commuter lounge to meet with Bee-John as we studied for a bit more, before awaiting Amul and Lauren’s arrival to go to the A.S. Pancake breakfast. As we joined Jasmine, Amy, Rosario, Lauren, and Tyler in line we anxiously awaited our pancakes. It was delicious because we inevitably got pancakes, syrup, eggs, ketchup, sausage, and tater tots. YUM. Alex later joined our table, as I again saw Baby Payne from a corner. We all ultimately left, as me and Bee-John went back to Price Center to study. Geetha later came, and Bee-John got pissed because he didn’t want to study at the Price Center Computers so he left. The night ended the way the day started, with studying. Last final tomorrow at 7!
| A San Diego County man created a bit of a problem when he went to pay off a $6,500 credit card bill with pennies. Thierry Cahez loaded the pennies into his van, all 650,000 of them rolled in plastic and put in crates. He then drove the pennies to his bank in Mira Mesa and unloaded them. The man said the bank turned him away several times. Eventually, he was sent to a branch with a bigger vault that could handle all the coins. Cahez said he decided to pay his credit card bill with pennies because he was upset with his bank over a refinance he couldn’t get, and charges and fees on his card. HAHA FUNNY. |  |

On March 14th, 1964, Jack Ruby is convicted of the murder of Lee Harvey Oswald, the alleged assassin of President Kennedy, he is sentenced to death. The ruling is later overturned when his defense lawyers argued he did not receive a fair trial in Dallas due to the excessive publicity . A later date is set for a second trial at a change of venue, but he died of natural causes while waiting for the new trial. I still have a sneaking suspicious the Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson was behind it all. If not, terrorists. |
