It’s good to finally be back in Orange County! After waking up today at a ridiculously early time (8 AM), Alex generously drove me back to Garden Grove so I could spend my spring break at home. The entire day literally had me going from location to location visiting key sights in Orange County, tasting things being involved in the entire process. My mom generously gave me half a meal – with some KFC chicken and rice to stuff my face in as I got back. About an hour later Theresa would take me to meet Earle at several locations in Irvine. First, we got tasty sandwiches at Le Diplomatic Cafe, and went to Cha for Tea to get a drink. This was where I broke my lent for the first time ever. :(. Theresa bought Earle and herself a drink and generously offered me one. I refused the first few times because I didn’t want to break tradition, but after hearing them rave on and on about how delicious it was, I ultimately gave in. FAIL. [My pic of the day is that said drink that tempted me so.] Oh well, I still intend on keeping the non-water diet working for a while.
Afterwards we drove to 85 Degree Bakery Cafe in Irvine. While Earle had to go back to Santiago for job paperwork transactions, me and Theresa endulged in white chocolate strawberrie cups. DELICIOUS. Afterwards, Theresa told me she would have to study for the rest of the week, and had to work on Thursday and Friday. BOO!
As I went back, I realized I was tired, so I played some Yu-Gi-Oh, took a nap, and of course indulged in one of new fascinations, words with friends. Earle came over, and we skyped Sazzy for a bit, before he ultimately left to help Theresa with networking issues. I got a taste of my mom’s old fashioned cooking. Yum Green Pea/Bean Sprouts Thingies! Afterwards Earle would come back and would meet Thiep at Regals Cinema to watch none other than the Adjustment Bureau. It was a relatively nice concept for a movie, but I thought the execution could have definitely been a lot better. It was entertaining though, but it just wasn’t that good. Afterwards, we all went to Coffee Zone, where only Thiep got a drink and then to Thuan Phat Pho because apparently 2 meals in a day wasn’t enough. YUM PHO! I also found out neither Thiep near Earle would be free again till Thursday. FAIL! So sad. Oh well, at least I’ll get to see Glee with them on May 29nd!
I ended the day back home relaxing, playing Words with Friends & Yu-Gi-Oh! Home sweet home!
| President Barack Obama is trying to limit the United States’ role in enforcing a no-fly zone over Libya to support aircraft only and is very reluctant to commit any offensive U.S. firepower, a senior U.S. official familiar with the military planning discussions said Friday. “We will provide the unique capabilities that we can bring to bear to stop the violence against civilians, including enabling our European allies and Arab partners to effectively enforce a no-fly zone,” the president said in a nationally televised statement about U.S. military action. “The president chose his words deliberately and carefully, and you should be guided by them,” the official said. “He is very sensitive that this not be a U.S. operation. We are part of it. And of course, we by nature of our superior capabilities have a lead and leadership role to play. But we are part of it and expect a lot from our partners,” the official said…. World War III is definitely happening our lifetime, folks. 🙁 | ![]() |

On March 18th, 1965, A Soviet cosmonaut known as Lt. Col. Alexei Leonov exited the spacecraft Voskshod II for a short “spin”. He completed a somersault, and then proceeded to take pictures of space. This took place just days before the U.S. planned to launch its first two-man spaceship and becomes the first man to walk in space. The United States was beat by the Soviet Union several time, but we eventually triumphed over them in the end :). |
