After playing with my favorite new applications on my Itouch today (Oregon Trail, Family Feud, Monopoly, etc.), Earle came over and we hung out for a bit. Shortly thereafter we made a trip towards the H-Mart plaza in an effort for the Sausagefest to come together and eat. Me & Earle opted out of eating, after having already eaten in our respective homes. Subsequently Thiep, Triet, Vu, & Brian ate at Kaju Tofu, while me & Earle sat and watched. We subsequently talked about random topics that ranged from race to a certain latitude of different arenas. After standing outside of H Mart for a while debating what to do next, we went inside Paris Baguette (to use the bathroom), and subsequently decided to watch 2 dollar movies at Main Place Mall. After splitting up into two cars, we met up outside of Victoria’s Secret (THE PERFECT meeting spot). I took a picture outside of the mall to honor the day. After Earle got some pretzals, me and Earle got some unhealthy Big Macs at McDonald’s to fulfill our tasty stomachs, before we bought tickets for GREEN HORNET in 3D! 2 Dollars for the ticket + 2 Dollars more for the 3D Glasses. I went in expecting the movie to be terrible because Seth Rogen is in it, but was pleasantly shocked realizing it was actually very good and entertaining. The movie was both funny, while not deviating too much from the main plot. After all that we all called it a night as we went home, with me playing games and chillaxing the rest of the night.

| On March 25h, 2009, The Secretary of State has pledged the United States into giving Mexico more help in its anti-drugs campaign. Clinton said that the use of military-style assault weapons was of particular concern, and she would discuss the reimposition of a ban on their sale. The previous decision to lift the ban was a mistake, she said. She has admitted that it is America’s appetite for drugs that has helped fuel the violence. Some eight thousand people have died in Mexico’s drug-related violence in the last two years. SIGH 🙁 |

| As U.S. lawmakers seek a compromise on how much federal spending to cut in order to avoid a government shutdown, Tea Party activists who helped propel Republicans back into power are growing impatient with the debate. When Republicans captured the House in November, vowing to slash $100 billion in federal spending from the budget year ending in September, 76 percent of Tea Party activists supported their deficit-reduction plan, according to a new Pew Research poll released last week. But after House Republicans approved a plan last month to cut federal spending by $61 billion, that Tea Party support fell to 52 percent. Now Tea Party Nation founder Judson Phillips, arguably the most vocal critic of GOP leaders, is pushing for a primary opponent against House Speaker John Boehner in 2012 for breaking his campaign pledge to cut $100 billion and for what he sees as hints that he’s willing to cut less than $61 billion in a compromise with Senate Democrats. I think the government standstill will likely continue…. |
