Day 90: Loaded Day

March 31st, 2011

For being the last day of the month of March, this was quite a loaded day indeed. Let’s have a quick rundown. After waking up and going to American Cultural History, I went to Price Center to play on the computers, before my quick sustainability center internship interview. I think it went smooth because I just spoke honestly and confidently about the skills I have. *Fingers crossed*. I then went to my Literature Class, where Michelle joined and we avoided paying attention the entier time. I’m excited for the upcoming video project. Then I went to my Americanization in Europe class. For our practice quiz the professor assigned everyone in the class to write a page summary about the readings. We would turn in all our practice quizzes at the start of the lecture and he would call on a few select people to regurgitate and try to recite what they wrote on their quizzes. And by the luck of the draw…. I got called on. -_-. It was so embarrasing, but I spoke confidently about what I had wrote. Good thing I actually legitimately did the reading instead of bs’ing it this time.! Afterwards, I ate at Pines for dinner (I had skipped lunch) before heading to the bookstore where I ran into Valeria. We were supposed to read magazines together, but apparently she disappeared, so eventually I just went to my How to Read a Film class. We watched Inception again, this time dissecting each part of the first ten minutes. One interesting she showed in class was this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVkQ0C4qDvM

When I got to Warren I relaxed for a bit before joining Lauren at Matt’s “Ultimate Frisbee” event. It was a sort of a fail because there was no one there, but it was still fun. Alex joined us, we went to Earl’s, and headed straight on over to Geetha’s ICRA Session: the privilege walk. It was actually a really enjoyable session, and had a record number of participants: me, BeeJohn, Rashika (late), Amul, Matt, Lauren, Alex, Charlene, & Cindy. EXCITING! Afterwards we would talk for roughly an hour in SAC before people starting leaving. Eventually all that was left was me, Geetha, Cindy, Rashika, Amul, & BeeJohn (EXEC BOARD!) – we went to Earl’s and then played Loaded Questions (which Geetha left early). It was relatively fun and still my favorite boardgame, finally making my picture of the day. As we ended the game we all got tired and all forfeited, with no real winner emerging in the end.
