Day 139: ARGH Matey

May 19th, 2011

After going to class, eating lunch at Pines with Henry and Sid, going to work, going to Lit, I then proceeded to my history class, where my professor assigned a video quiz. FAIL, cause I didn’t watch the movie. Also, he decided to leave class for 25 minutes to pick up something, making us all watch a video while he was gone. I was by far too frustrated at that point to stay, so I left immediately after. I went back to my apartment, watched “About Face” for my Film class (which got cancelled), and then got dinner with Geetha at Foodworx. With an hour gap in between in my apartment, I went back to the Dogghouse and saw Geetha, Ephram, Charlene, and Bee-John just lounging around. As Geetha, Bee-John and I departed, we took the bus to the Von’s shopping area, where we saw Victor, Howard, and Eric along the way. When we got to Von’s Bee-John was in a dilemma as to whether to eat at TapEx or Los Primos. I got a drink with Geetha at Tap Ex as I joined Bee-John, Michael, David, & Amul at Los Primos. Bee-John ended up eating both meals, being hungry enough, as me and Amul played some shooting game there. This is probably going to be one of my new homes next year, regardless of whether I like it not. Next, we went to Michael’s apartment to play Loaded Questions, which had a strangely different box, so I snapped a picture for memory sakes. One of the question’s answers summarized my whole thoughts for the rest of the night. “What would you not want that you had?” “Free Pirates Tickets.” We went to saw the Pirates 4 Movie with Rashika, and I ended up hating it. WTF was that. Too much action + lack of a decent plot + lack of good character development = FAIL Movie. I surely could not make that MY picture of the day. We saw Tyler & V.Payne as well that night. By that point I was exhausted, and subsequently got dropped back off in Warren to sleep.

News
President Obama may be on the brink of breaking the law. At issue: The 1973 War Powers Act, which says if the president does not get congressional authorization 60 days after military action, the mission must stop within 30 days. The president formally notified Congress about the mission in Libya with a letter on March 21, which makes Friday the 60-day deadline. FAIL.

P.S.: RonPaul
