Today was quite a unique Sunday, in that the fun came before the studying. I studied a bit yesterday in preparation for today – where I would GO TO MY FIRST EVER BASEBALL GAME EVER! <24 America’s favorite pasttime. I met up with Lauren Lagano, Alex, and Lauren Coleman at the bus as we awaited everybody to get up and on. Ticket sales were relatively bad, and we were going to watch the two teams in last place in League play (Padres vs. Mariners), but I was still looking forward to the big day. On the bus we played 20 Questions and the Under the Umbrella game (which brings back great freshman memories) with Adam, Cindy, Lauren, Alex, Matt, & Bee-John. When we reached the place we walked on up to the baseball field as we all sat down relatively close to one another. While there we would see Windi and Connor, gossip, talk, sing along to the Star Spangled Banner, God Bless America, and Take me Out to the ballgame, take a picture for my blog, get hotdogs, get french fries, eat, chill, and enjoy the game. The game wasn’t particularly interesting, but the environment is hella’ chill. I don’t think I’d pay more than 15 dollars to do that though, but it was fun overall. We all departed and would inevitably find ourselves going to Tofu House afterwards (without Adam of course). It was delicious as usual but I ordered something not quite as good as I ordered last time. Fail on my part I suppose… When all was done, Lauren drove us back as we walked down Rimac. She bought me and Matt shakes with her extra mealpoints as we all left one another, me to ultimately go back to my room to resume my studies.

| Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels, a former top aide to President George W. Bush, ended his very public flirtation with running for president early Sunday with an e-mail to supporters that narrowed the field of plausible 2012 Republican challengers to President Barack Obama. “The counsel and encouragement I received from important citizens like you caused me to think very deeply about becoming a national candidate,” Daniels said in the message distributed through the Indiana Republican Party. HE WOULDN’T HAVE WON ANYWAY. |
