Day 148: IKEA, Real and Fake

May 28th, 2011

Today I visited Ikea, both in real life, and in the imaginary realm of a fictional movie. Details will be explained later. In the morning I ate breakfast with Geetha at CV (after making a failed waffle), and then went to Geisel to try to check out two books (unfortunately they were unavailable). After we departed one another, I went with Lauren to several locations to check out mattresses and furniture, and do what we do best: gossip. We went to Sears and Macy’s in UTC, which neither had mattresses, and then went to Sleep Train Mattress Center, where the mattresses were ridiculously expensive. We got some ice cream at Baskin Robbins and talked about lots of business, including PAW related details before going to Ikea to check out more mattresses. We found out they only do 3-day shipping so we need to figure out a better way to get mattresses, probably through the fold up bed. We went to get dinner at Five Guys, before we departed ways.

I reunited with Geetha at her place, went to Marshall’s to return clothing with her, and then went to CVS Pharmacy to attempt to check out the available glasses there for my eyes. Unfortunately, they were all below my eyesight level. We went back to campus where we ate at Tapioca Express (YUM Taro Milk Tea), and then went back to my place to watch 500 Days of Summer, where I re-encountered Ikea on the television screen. Sad movie overall, as the night concluded.
