Day 166: Medieval Red KNIGHTS.

June 15th, 2011

My summer “break” reached its halfway point with a half lackluster, yet half exciting day. I spent the majority of the morning playing Tetris and chillaxing at home, until me, Nam, and Annie made an unexpected trip all the way back to… Target to spend the $25 gift card attained yesterday on random fruit snacks, accessories, and most importantly, Jenga. When we got back home, we played Jenga a couple times, me eventually trailing with 5 losses to Nam’s 1 and Annie’s 0. I gambled away 5 of my points to gain back several points, eventually defeating Annie and Nam, now reaching the inevitable points of 8-8-1. Maybe we’ll continue tomorrow, but I doubt it.

The exciting part of the day occured when me, Annie, and Nam were picked up by my sister Jenny and her friend Coreen (who I call Chlorine), as we went to Medieval Times. It was a joyous occassion and when we got there we were joined by three more of Jenny’s friends, including Craig, the white guy. We went inside, and enjoyed the show, getting seated in the “red” section. We subsequently cheered for the red knight the entire time, and guess what… HE ENDED UP winning the tournament, defeating the traitorous green knight. The food wasn’t too bad, and the service was excellent. It was an enjoyable thing, worth about roughly $35. Before the show I hastily almost interrupted a group’s pictures to see the take a picture with the King, as well as argued with a little kid, when he cheered for the green team, and I cheered for the Red Team. I Boo’ed the green as he cheered for them, and we rebutted back and forth. Afterwards, I went home and relaxed the rest of the night away, carrying on with my Tetris addiction.

The White House defended to Congress on Wednesday the legality, the costs and accomplishments of the U.S. military mission in Libya. In a 32-page report titled “United States Activities in Libya,” the administration says the cost of military and humanitarian operations through June 3 was about $800 million. It estimates the total cost through September 30 will be $1.1 billion. The report was drawn up in response to a House resolution that accused President Barack Obama of failing to consult with Congress over the military effort in the North African country. YAY END THE WARS PLEASE. <24 Dennis Kucinich.
