Day 240: Backkkk.

August 28th, 2011
With the day originally started in the confines of my bed in Orange County came its ending in San Diego. My sister partially redeemed herself today by hanging out with me (slightly), when my mom made her drive all of us (including my oldest sister) to Food4Less where I bought delicious groceries in the form of: sandwich meat, bread, licorice, toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, chips, pasta sauce, pasta, etc. Afterwards, after me whining to my mom in pursuit of food my mom told my two sisters to take me eating, and we went to the delicious “Com Tam Thuan Kieu” (pictured above). There, I ate sticky rice with strips of delicious meat, and was satisfied (at least partially for lunch). When I got back home I just relaxed for a couple hours, before my friend Jonny ultimately came to pick me up. On the way back to San Diego, I had quite an interesting conversation with Jonny. It was pretty surprising considering how long it’s been till I’ve actually had a long, meaningful talk with him. It was really chill though and I hope we stay friends for the long haul. Also in the car were his roommates, Diana, and his current girlfriend. When I arrived back at La Regencia I consumed some delicious Flaming Hot Funyuns and licorice while catching up with Tyler and Lauren. Afterwards I proceeded to Geetha’s place to eat some delicious leftover Chipotle, watch the movie The Notebook, watch her do her R.A. homework, and hang out together the rest of the night.

History
After four years of separation, Charles, Prince of Wales and heir to the British throne, and his wife, Princess Diana, formally divorce. On July 29, 1981, nearly one billion television viewers in 74 countries tuned in to witness the marriage of Prince Charles, heir to the British throne, to Lady Diana Spencer, a young English schoolteacher. Married in a grand ceremony at St. Paul’s Cathedral in the presence of 2,650 guests, the couple’s romance was, for the moment, the envy of the world. Their first child, Prince William, was born in 1982, and their second, Prince Harry, in 1984. AW POOR BABIES.
News
Even before Hurricane Irene hit the U.S. East Coast, the Federal Emergency Management Agency was preparing to mitigate its devastating impact, spending from its $800 million relief fund to assist communities. But the real disaster may just be the agency itself, Rep. Ron Paul said Sunday. The Republican presidential candidate, who represents the 14th Congressional District that runs partly along the Gulf of Mexico in Texas, argued that the temporary aid provided by FEMA has helped ruin the economy by creating a false dependency. Stick to your convictions <24.
