Day 288: Filming, Day 2

October 15th, 2011
Today was a relatively low-key Saturday as I spent most of it finalizing the filming of my video project. I woke up the morning energized as ever, consuming some delicious cereal as I prepared for some epic filming. As soon as Jessica, Adam, Henry, and Sid came over, we began our filming, Sid ultimately deciding to stay out of the process and just watch. My picture of the day signifies a key point in their plot (without giving much away: they watched Glee and did things in the shower and closet). Afterwards we all proceeded to play a quick round of Poker. At the very instant Adam decided to cheat though, we knew the game was over, and everybody subsequently went home. I went to Von’s to get more toilet paper and tissues, and then proceeded to Michelle’s place to film her Facebook role in my movie. Essentially she played a suicidal slut. I went home afterwards to cook some average-tasting tofu, spam, and eggs before ending the night ordering the pictures I took so far, and watching TV alone in my living room. YEEEEE

History
Mata Hari, the archetype of the seductive female spy, is executed for espionage by a French firing squad at Vincennes outside of Paris. She first came to Paris in 1905 and found fame as a performer of exotic Asian-inspired dances. She soon began touring all over Europe, telling the story of how she was born in a sacred Indian temple and taught ancient dances by a priestess who gave her the name Mata Hari, meaning “eye of the day” in Malay. In reality, Mata Hari was born in a small town in northern Holland in 1876, and her real name was Margaretha Geertruida Zelle. She acquired her superficial knowledge of Indian and Javanese dances when she lived for several years in Malaysia with her former husband, who was a Scot in the Dutch colonial army. Regardless of her authenticity, she packed dance halls and opera houses from Russia to France, mostly because her show consisted of her slowly stripping nude. DEATH .
News
Paul’s heavy campaign burn-rate emerged in his third-quarter campaign finance report filed Saturday, which showed him raising about $8.2 million for the period but also spending $7.5 million. He finished the quarter with $3.6 million in the bank. The largest costs came in the form of more than $2 million spent on TV and direct-mail advertising, for airtime and mail pieces that are running well past the quarter’s closing date last month. SPEND SPEND SPEND. WIN WIN WIN.
