Day 315: Epic Fails

November 11th, 2011
Today was a day of somewhat epic fail. After waking up in the morning I went with Geetha to go get some delicious lunch at Island’s. While on the bus, we saw Michelle and Tiffany who were going to BJ’s for some lunch specials. They unfortunately didn’t have any good lunch specials so they somehow interrupted our lunch date for a bit. Still, Geetha and I had a fun time stuffing food in our mouths before we ultimately headed over to Marshall’s to shop for a bit. We got some candy at Ralph’s in the form of gummy lifesavers and Hershey’s cookies and cream. We then proceeded to watch Ides of March, which was a terribly slow movie, so slow that Geetha fell asleep. Geetha got some fruits at Ralph’s before I went home to subsequently prepare for the upcoming conference: that’s the 2011 Students For Liberty Southern California Regional Conference.

I met up with BeeJohn at Price Center when done before we headed over to the front of the faculty lounge.

Fail #1: Bee-John lost his dress pants in the morning, and finally noticed when were nearly at the top of Peterson Hill. He ran back in a desperate attempt to find them, subsequently surrendering. A suspicion tells him he left it at Glider Port.

Fail #2: We drove up to Norm’s in Alexandra’s car with BeeJohn by my side, failing to get some delicious food. Also in attendance was Kara, Carolin, Simeon, Joel, Angad, Franklin, & Cody. The food wasn’t very good as I got ribs not nearly as good at Phil’s BBQ. To be fair, Simeon recommended getting the burger, but I already had one earlier. It’s a pretty sure fire sign that a restaurant isn’t very sufficient when they give a vegetarian (bee-John), a meal with meat in it. LOLZ.

Fail #3: We drove for 2 hours looking for a place to stay the night, but proper planning failed us all. As the rain drizzled throughout the land, Simeon’s contacts bailed out on him, ultimatley forcing us to stay at the Good Nite Inn, miles away from Pepperdine and Malibu. It was a pretty standard hotel as I slept in the same room with Carolin, Simeon, Alexsandra, Bee-John, Joel, and Cody. I slept on the ground naturally pretty tired from the activities of the day. In the end, I knocked out ready and slightly excited for tomorrow. My picture is a the day is a combination of two pictures for the first time ever: the drizzling rain in contact with the hotel we stayed at.

History
At the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, the Great War ends. At 5 a.m. that morning, Germany, bereft of manpower and supplies and faced with imminent invasion, signed an armistice agreement with the Allies in a railroad car outside Compiégne, France. The First World War left nine million soldiers dead and 21 million wounded, with Germany, Russia, Austria-Hungary, France, and Great Britain each losing nearly a million or more lives. In addition, at least five million civilians died from disease, starvation, or exposure. THANK GOODNESS.
