Day 337: Iowa Bound.

December 3rd, 2011
December continues with its greatness as I finalized my Christmas plans with Ron Paul in Iowa. Pictured above is the registration form in which I used to do. After booking my flight I subsequently signed up for what will be both a great learning experience, and a wonderful end to the 2011 year. I went to Foodworx in the morning with Geetha to get some breakfast, before studying at Geisel for several hours. In that time window I played the Sims, booked my flight, listened to podcasts, and subsequently began (and almost finished) writing my essay. We went back to Foodworx to get some dinner, me in the form of three slices of pizza. We watched some Friends before going back to Market to get some delicious drinks. I would depart Geetha at that said point, going home to try to relax. When I found out I had lost my camera however, I nearly fainted. With the pending failure of my 365 project if I could not secure back my camera, I walked all the way back to campus to look for it. In the Communications building, I would find a note that says “Missing camera. Email —–“. It was now time for email that person. I went ahead and went to Burger King afterwards, delivered it to Geetha, and ate it, not knowing that tomorrow it would produce the worst stomach flu in the history of my life.

History
On this day in 1947, Marlon Brando’s famous cry of “STELLA!” first booms across a Broadway stage, electrifying the audience at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre during the first-ever performance of Tennessee Williams’ play A Streetcar Named Desire. The 23-year-old Brando played the rough, working-class Polish-American Stanley Kowalski, whose violent clash with Blanche DuBois (played on Broadway by Jessica Tandy), a Southern belle with a dark past, is at the center of Williams’ famous drama. Blanche comes to stay with her sister Stella (Kim Hunter), Stanley’s wife, at their home in the French Quarter of New Orleans; she and Stanley immediately despise each other. In the climactic scene, Stanley rapes Blanche, causing her to lose her fragile grip on sanity; the play ends with her being led away in a straitjacket. NEVER SEEN IT.MAYBE NEVER WILL.
News
An unapologetic and defiant Herman Cain suspended his presidential campaign on Saturday, pledging that he “would not go away” even as he abandoned the Republican presidential race in the face of escalating accusations of sexual misconduct. “As of today, with a lot of prayer and soul-searching, I am suspending my presidential campaign,” Mr. Cain said at a rally in Atlanta, surrounded by supporters chanting his name. “Because of the continued distractions, the continued hurt caused on me and my family, not because we are not fighters. Not because I’m not a fighter.” BAHAHHA FAIL.
