Day 341: Geisel Brings out all the Crazies

December 6th, 2011
The most bizarre and hideous thing at Geisel happened today, as pictured above. A girl literally covered herself up with her computer so she could remove all outside distractions. Somehow, there still was a hat above her head. CRAZY. In the morning, I went to EHS to work away several hours of the day, which included making a pit stop to Pacific Hall to snap some pictures. Eventually I left the building to go all the way over to the Social Science Building to drop off my POLI113A essay. Along the way I stopped to talk with John Torres and Victor for a brief moment in time. (I made a mistake confusing it with the Social Science Research Building which looked the same from the outside). With that out of the way I went to Geisel to continue my Vietnamese studies. Eventually Geetha joined me as I snapped the picture of the day of a stranger in front of me. I went to Chipotle afterwards to order both a burrito and a chicken bowl – one safety positioned away into my fridge. I went home to shower, blog, chill, and study some more before ending the night resting at Geetha’s place. 8 AM and ONLY FINAL tomorrow!

History
At 7:55 a.m. Hawaii time, a Japanese dive bomber bearing the red symbol of the Rising Sun of Japan on its wings appears out of the clouds above the island of Oahu. A swarm of 360 Japanese warplanes followed, descending on the U.S. naval base at Pearl Harbor in a ferocious assault. The surprise attack struck a critical blow against the U.S. Pacific fleet and drew the United States irrevocably into World War II. Tragic.
News
Ron Paul’s supporters in Iowa are very loyal and very excited. And they are poised to make Paul the winner of the Iowa Caucuses next month. This isn’t the script the media has been writing for this campaign. Instead, “Tea Party Queen” Michelle Bachman, who beat Paul by just a few score votes at the Ames Straw poll earlier this year, was supposed to win this state – and confirm that the GOP has gone bonkers. It’s happening!

P.S.: SANTA
