Here are my thoughts on Congressman Ron Paul, currently running for President.

There are only mere times in history when a figure becomes so great he transcends his time. You can say that about George Washington, Martin Luther King Jr, and other figures, who go down in history for their revolutionary achievements in advancing society. I believe Ron Paul fits perfectly into that category and will go down in the history books.

Ron Paul has been the most consistent member of Congress, and maintains a perfect voting record in regards to everything he says and preaches. He predicted the housing bubbles, he predicted 9/11, and he predicted the economic crisis we are in today.

Having a lack of knowledge of economics, I was introduced to Austrian economies through reading three of Ron Paul’s books: The Revolution: A Manifesto, Liberty Defined, and End the Fed. Ron Paul is able to be the only one on the Republican stage to oppose all foreign military interventions, and subsequently would run to the left of Obama on foreign policy as well as drug policy.

END THE FED. The Federal Reserve, established in 1913 by the federal government, continually inflates the money supply resulting in higher costs for consumers, as well as providing bailouts to banks both in the United States and foreign country. We need to increase its transparency to actively see what the government is doing and how it is directly funded by the Federal Reserve.

Ron Paul believes government is not the solution to all our problems. In fact, the bureaucracy that has resulted from years of regulations by the federal government has only increased dependency while at the same time being completely inefficient. He is 100% pro-life, believes marriage should not be regulated at all by the state, believes in ending the war in drugs, believing in ending all foreign occupations and wars, believes in getting out of entangling alliances, and believes in obeying the Constitution. There’s been countless times in Congress where he’s been the LONE DISSENTING VOTE. That is enough for me.

And if you are still an Obama supporter, just remember – he said he would end the Iraq war in a month, signed the National Defense Authorization Act, and expanded the wars in the Middle East. There’s a reason why the mainstream media refuses to talk about Ron Paul, and consistently attacks him more than any other candidate, while at the same time totally behind Obama’s grassroots campaign in 2008.
