Being industrious requires one-self to engage in as much work as possible. And though I have always been one to work hard in acquiring good grades in school and good money at work, I made sure I fulfilled much industry this week as provided by the checklists below.

Successes: My most notable successes this week would obviously in my industry of employment at the Anaheim Family YMCA. My boss at Katella even told my boss at Loara that she loved me, so that must mean I’m doing something right. At the same time I applied to more part-time positions while simultaneously signing up for a job interview for Irvine Parks, and accepting a job position for Camp Zanika in Washington for the summer (though it’s doubtful I’ll actually do it). I’m also working hard to do my readings/online discussions for my EDSC304 and EDSC410 courses. At the same time I am preparing myself for the future in signing up for the CBEST, buying a study book, reading over the material, and taking some practice tests. I’m confident to the point where I will ace it on its its first attempt. I’m also fairly sure my letters of recommendations will come in next week, and also am proud that I finished the essay I plan to submit for the credential program. I also remain industrious in my time with Circle K, attending the meeting, social, and service project this week (waking up at 430am), and finally being persuaded to go to DCON.
Shortcomings: At the same time, as much work I have done this week, I felt like I could have also done so much more. I tried to keep myself productive by going to the library when I had free time, but in the midst of Chinese New Year and my sisters coming home this weekend I fell out of my normal work habits come Saturday and Sunday (though I squeezed as much “industry” as possible in the time allotted). I also could have exercised more this week, but couldn’t locate my P90x videos sadly (though I didn’t really try that hard to look for them). I did run 3.8 miles on Friday though which I am proud of. I will try to keep myself running that many or more on a more consistent basis next week. As much as I also enjoy politics, my “campaigning” for the cause of liberty has dwindled down ever since the 2012 election. I hope things pick back up again and I start getting more involved with YAL at my school. My sticker came in though as I gear up for the next presidential election (though I should focus on midterm elections first realistically speaking).

The End Result: I was industrious, but I could have done more. I give myself a B, which is sadly pretty low for my standards. I’m trying to focus on my moral virtue of the week, but am also trying to keep my virtues of the previous week, such as silence (I read), Order (cleaning my room), and Frugality (spending less).
Next Week: Sincerity: Use no hurtful Deceit. Think innocently and justly; and, if you speak, speak accordingly.
