It’s rather tragic the lack of updates that have come out this blog in the past few months. I will use as a preliminary excuse that student teaching required 100% of my time and dedication, but that does not really justify the lack of anything in the past month or so. Therefore I will attempt to use this post as a means by which to catch everybody up to speed.
I’ve been working at Fairmont for the past five weeks or so and it’s been a blast. I thoroughly enjoy the presence of all my coworkers and I can see myself coming back every summer or so (if my schedule permits it). That would of course depend on where I actually end up in the next couple of months or so. With three weeks of summer camp left, the likelihood of me being unemployed is dramatically higher than I’d like it to be. I’ve been applying everywhere in the state of California, even branching out to much needed areas of Las Vegas. My first interview is tomorrow at an L.A. charter school, and I hope even if I don’t get the job, it is a positive learning experience for me.
***Project Health: Aside from going to the gym on the weekends, I haven’t really been as active as I’d like to be. I will attempt to finalize this project in the next couple of months by doing the following (in no particular order):
1) Chuze Fitness! Attend the gym more (especially in 3 weeks).
2) Sleep Less. Eat less! Less snacks, more vegetables…
3) Try to do more activities with others that require exercise: Walk mile square, sports, dancing, etc.
If I can somehow manipulate myself into exercising without actually feeling like I’m exercising I will be more successful in completing the goals of the project health initiative.
FREE STUFF: I failed to mention the amount of time I spent during my downtime student teaching racking up Amazon gift cards on various survey and point sites (Swagbucks + Bing Rewards). After extensive months of hard work after school and on weekends I managed to acquire roughly $500+ dollars in Amazon Gift Card, $250 of which I have used to acquire a 40 inch tv as seen below. My next goal? A Playstation 4!

Until next time, here’s a rather uplifting song to end this blog post.
