At work today I sat with students during an assembly witnessing a “pep rally”. It’s so strange to think that only 7 years ago I was one of the students who dreaded those mandatory assemblies.

Being on the other side of the aisle makes me realize how much different I am from my students. My priorities in school were to get good grades and progress myself as an individual. These students? Not so much…

In the end, I think a balance of work and play will make everything better, although I’ve always placed a heavier emphasis on “Work” and success.

I am glad gas prices are where they are at currently, giving me a better opportunity play and explore Vegas.

Can’t say I was never wrong
But some blame rests on you
Work and play they’re never okay
To mix the way we do
All I can say
I shouldn’t say
Can we take a ride?
Get out of this place
While we still have time
