I know I can change the world. Today, I helped to volunteer for the annual Las Vegas Science and Technology Festival, giving out raffle tickets as people went to watch short films about science.

Some short films were better than others. It does put me in the mindset of wanting to inevitably going to a film festival. That will be on my bucket list for the near future.

A notable Asian woman from California came in and began complaining about Nevada’s educational system. I had to unfortunately agree with her based on my assessment of the Clark County School District. The graduation rate and general attitudes towards education in Las Vegas in general are disheartening. As a teacher, I know where I stand and who I am, and I want to change the world, but I’m going to have to do it in a place that matches my moral convictions.
I know where I stand, I know who I am
I would never run away when life gets bad
It’s everything I see, every part of me
I know I can change the world yeah yeah yeah
