Unions can be good or bad, depending on how they operate as an entity. Unions in the past have helped obtain better living and working conditions through various techniques. Presently, unions are mostly lobby groups for politicians and political parties. (Did I mention that charter schools, like private schools, are mostly non-unionized?) It doesn’t really matter though, because I got a “day off” of work today.
What did I do? I had to go to L.A. for a Bright Stars Orientation, which was pretty chill (other than the fact that I was severely sick).
That gave me the chance to try to relieve my suffering in Norwalk with a friend through the eating of Hot Tofu Soup and the drinking of a cold beverage. The place didn’t accept cash or credit card so I had to walk to 7/11 to pay. My friend tried to pay for my boba at Cha2Go and 85 degree bakery, but they didn’t take American Express, so we settled for some Jamba Juice.
Hopefully the Vitamin C will cure me in time for tomorrow’s field trip to…. Raging Waters. I have the drugs, but ultimately the immune system has the power. They’re in the system, but I know I… have the power to fight it.
