I forgot to mention I received a 15 dollar gift card from a parent already yesterday… and it’s only the first week!
So far, based on my understanding of Rise: BETTER students than Cram, but HEAVIER workload.
At the end of the day, it’s about the students, so that will keep me motivated to work harder this year.
It’s just a memory the days I actually got off at 2:11 everyday and left by 2:21PM. But I love my coworkers, and the rapport has been great thus far. I do miss some of my best students and wish they could “come back” to me. They belong at a much better school with a better school culture, which Rise does happen to have.
Oh, and I had drinks with coworkers from Rise after work today! It was awesome and eye-opening to say the very least.
