Day 280: Airplanes

Disneyland is truly one of the most magical places in the world. Why? Because it singlehandedly was able to relieve a great deal of stress and reward me after a grueling 2 months of work.

Even though Rise has its share of difficulties in long hours and various duties, one of the perks is the LELs – a complicated acronym that stands for life-experience lessons. I feel in a sense after a 7 hour day of work, I was able to relieve some stress for 9 hours at Disneyland for Mickey’s Halloween Adventure. It also gave me the ability to better easily connect with students on campus. I am truly grateful to have been in the presence of such great students. Having 4 chaperones and 14 well-behaved students was cake compared to the Fairmont field trips with slightly different ratios in the summer.

The Disney experience included the following:
– Getting Candy through various stations throughout the park
– Indiana Jones: A good time.
– Splash Mountain: Thrilling, but I hate the drop and love the water.

– The Food: Over priced and really not that good
– Space Mountain: Great! I have a thing for indoor roller coasters because you can more easily overcome the fear of dropping (since you can’t see what is actually happening).
– Fireworks Show: Good, but I would prefer a non-Halloween theme
– Nemo’s Submarine Adventure: Okay
– Haunted Mansion: Good for the Halloween Theme
– Buzz Lightyear: A good time playing.
– Random Pictures

I had a blast. Watching the fireworks made me think of shooting stars. My only wish is that I can experience more LELs in the future as the culture and climate at Rise changes throughout the year.

Can we pretend that airplanes
In the night sky are like shooting stars? (Shooting stars)
I could really use a wish right now (Wish right now)
Wish right now (Wish right now)
