Sometimes I have to deal with defiance in the classroom. This year it hasn’t been nearly as bad as last year. However, there are still situations where students “don’t listen to a word I say.” The screams start sounding the same with me either threatening demerits, detentions, or phone call homes. Surprisingly, they work about half the time (depending on the student).
At the end of the day that might vary, but everybody will be safely learning in my classroom once everything is said and done. Here’s a picture of a completed Storyboards as students are working on their Facebook Projects this week.

Tomorrow is a long day of parent conferences after school! Luckily I only have 2 students on Catch-up in my advisory.
Don’t listen to a word I say
Hey!
The screams all sound the same
Hey!
Though the truth may vary
