At the Rise Empire today, we had parent-teacher conferences. I conducted two for my advisory, followed by a few from curious parents wondering why their students were not passing my class. It was fine, even if we had to stay till 6PM to finish them.
The best part? Catered and free Chipotle! Yum. I also decided to move my classroom to the computer lab. On the positive side, I’ll have more space to do activities as well as maximize the usage of the computers in History Class. On the negative side, I’ll have to figure out how to adjust my lessons for history and the paint I made for the room will have been for nothing. Oh well! Here’s to establishing my new empire in my new room – which I’ll start next Monday in doing. Tomorrow I will move all my posters and things to the new classroom, with hopefully the assistance of a few students.
