Day 317: The Scientist

Nobody said being a teacher would be easy. I’m no scientist by any means, and not a real historian, but I can only hope to continue to engrain in students some knowledge of the world in which they live. They had a 80% average on their US history test, which I would say is a decent achievement.

No one ever said life would be so hard. Despite having a full time career, I still feel like I’m missing something. Ever since I turned 25 I’ve had that feeling deeply shadowed in all the actions that I partake in. I met up with some friends at Snow Station, sandwiched in between Pho, and some more snow station.

I got a chance to cool off some steam with some delicious Pho, where we talked about relationships, life, and other boring stuff.

This was followed by some dessert at Snow Station and of course some playing of the eye contact game. Whoever breaks end contact in a conversation LOSES (courtesy of a former coworker’s interview advice). It was fun revisiting old memories and creating new memories, and going back to the start.

Thoughts and prayers go out to the families that lost their loved ones in France today. Terrorism is truly horrible, but will only grow with our increased intervention in the world. Questions of science and progress don’t speak as loud as my heart – crying out for a happier tomorrow.

Nobody said it was easy
Oh it’s such a shame for us to part
Nobody said it was easy
No one ever said it would be so hard
I’m going back to the start
