I don’t even know if I believe it, but winter break has finally reached! And subsequently, I have finished 1 and a half years of teaching! Here’s hoping I can last forever, but if not, I’ll pursue a higher path at some point down the road.
I had my student elves deliver Christmas cards to whom I believe to be the best co-workers possible, who work their hearts off for their students.
After school ended, I departed quickly back to Garden Grove, where my friend from San Jose was visiting! We went to Seven Leaves for a bit before having dinner with a group of friends at a Vietnamese restaurant (pictured below). You know it’s a Vietnamese restaurant when there’s Sriracha pictured.
Afterwards, we went to a Soju bar for a couple of drinks and catch up time. We sang our hearts out in karaoke to the jams of some classics included – Taylor Swift, Keane, Eninem, & others.
Later, friends came back to my place to simply talk and catch up. It’s bittersweet being in the same room again knowing we can’t do this every single week. I believe I have the best friends possible, and I’ll maintain these relationships for as long as I’m here, no matter how far the distance.
