Day 358: My Grown Up Christmas List

Christmas Eve is upon us! Tomorrow is Christmas, and I’m truly hoping for the following things:

  1. No more lives torn apart, either here, or anywhere in the world.
  2. That wars would never start. That the US would stop meddling in the affairs of other countries, leading to inevitable blowback.
  3. That time would heal all hearts – to all those who have lost loved ones.
  4. And everyone would have a friend. I’m here if you need one!
  5. And right would always win. The light side > The dark side.
  6. And love would never end. For anyone. The loss of love is deeply troubling, whether it be through someone passing away or a breakup, which in my experience is horrible.

Today, I had the pleasure of catching up with some high school friends through a combination of Korean BBQ and boardgames. At Korean BBQ, the waitress thought we were in high school, which made us laugh. The ice cream was really good though, and it was rather strange how she kept offering us more and more. I’m relatively sure she was trying to hit on my friend, but one cannot be too confident. We played Poker with the jackpot offered as… free boba, and the pot being of course $1 each. I didn’t have a dollar so I put my car keys in as collateral. I know you can tell we’re just rolling in the dough. IMG_2443

Afterwards, in our everlasting pursuit of Boba we were disappointed by the failures we encountered along the way:

  1. Seven Leaves – Closed
  2. Almond Haus – Closed
  3. 85 Degree Bakery – Closed
  4. Lollicup – Closed
  5. Tastea – Open, way too crowded but we should have actually went here instead of driving around…
  6. Turtle Tea – Closed
  7. Other Seven Leaves Location – Closed
  8. Teabo Teabo Express – Closed
  9. Sweet Leaf Cafe – Closed
  10. Three Different Starbucks Locations – Closed
  11. Costco (we got desperate) – Closed.

Fail

It’s okay though, because Christmas is tomorrow!

No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal all hearts
And everyone would have a friend
And right would always win
And love would never end
This is my grown up christmas list
