One Year Car Anniversary

June 27th is fast approaching, that being the one year anniversary of me and my car, which was named “Paula”. Since Rand Paul did epically bad in this election cycle, I have decided to rename my car Carly, which sounds much more adorable if my ears are correct. I didn’t even bother to name my other three cars, but let’s just go over their life cycles, and how they came to be destroyed.

  1. 2003 Toyota Corolla (July 2012 – August 2014): My first car was a used car, handed down to me by my sister. I drove approximately two years with it without any major accidents, which proves I am a decent driver, right?! When I moved to Las Vegas in August 2014, the head gasket blew up and luckily I exited the freeway at the correct time. Sadly, the vehicle could no longer operate, and it became cheaper at the time to dispose of it than to fix it.

  2. 2001 Honda Civic (August 2014 – December 2014): This car only lasted a couple of months, because I ran a red light in Las Vegas and t-boned a woman as she was turning left on a protected turn. Oops. When I went up to her and asked if she was okay, she had the audacity to shout at me “What the FUCK is your problem?!”. Some people need anger management I suppose.
  3. 2015 Ford Fiesta (December 2014 – June 2015): This car lasted a good half of the year in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, when I was looking for housing in Los Angeles for the upcoming school year, I ran a yellow light, where a driver turned left on an UNPROTECTED turn. It was totally his fault. And probably karma for the accident I caused prior to that. Some damages are provided below as evidence.

  4. 2015 Honda Accord (Carly) (June 2015 – PRESENT): That brings us to our last, and best car of all, which I hope will last the longest out of all my cars. If not, it is a total waste of money, because most of my teaching “pay” over the last two years have been used to pay for these stupid cars and accidents. Oops.

Here’s hoping I don’t die crashing a huge car in Hawaii. Happy anniversary Carly!
