Thanks Fairmont for another great year of summer camp, as short-lived as it was.
I started working for this camp in the summer of 2013, and have continued every year thus far.
^ I have no idea what happened to most of these people.
My second year (2014) is when I started getting into more of a groove at camp, and got to know my fellow co-counselors much better! Subsequently each year I have made countless friends I can count on to have my back.
^ I don’t remember some of these people’s names though, but I hope they’re doing well.
In 2014 I got very comfortable, and it was probably my favorite year thus far with the sheer amount of joy, drama, and laughs.
This year was also great! Despite the lack of drama, it’s a much needed stress reliever from my yearly duties as a teacher. Summer camp is a breeze compared to the amount of work I have to deal with in my classroom. I would go mad if I taught summer school, because teaching is a truly overworked profession.
No matter where I’ll be next year, Fairmont will always have a special place in my heart, wherever I go.
