Day 25: Tanya Tran

Shooting stars do exist in the world, but you have to make sure you catch one before they slip away. Though I no longer communicate with Tanya quite often, every time we do catch up, it has been unforgettable. Thank you to her for all the memories we’ve had over the years, which include:

  1. High School. I won’t forget the random AIM conversations and the random interactions we had. I was quite a lowly peasant in high school, and so it was nice that we were still friends despite being from different social cliques. I most definitely won’t forget how sincere and nice Tanya was after my first (and only high school) breakup, where she practically forced me to go to Baccalaureate. I’m glad she did though.
  2. Black Friday: In what was once a very terrible tradition, I have gone Black Friday shopping with Tanya (and her sisters) several times. I’m going to estimate it as 4 times, and what did I end up buying all four times? Practically nothing. It was more about the experience of waking up at 3 AM in the morning more than anything else though, which was… rather uplifting strangely enough.
  3. Of course the greatest memories were all the times we were able to hang out after high school. Let’s never forget Phil’s (even though you don’t like it that much), and of course you touring me around Chicago (Deep Dish forever!), and us going to Rock in Rio together (which was a blast!)

I know she has been hurt in the past, but I am a huge believer that everything happens for a reason. I know she is having a great time in Chicago growing as an individual, and I strongly believe she will be the best Nurse I will ever know in my life (better than even Nurse Lovejoy from Pokemon).

I miss you, and let’s catch up again sometime when you’re free. Reach out to me if you ever need anything. Thanks for everything, and thanks for nothing. #26reasonswhy
