I’m not so sure why so many put themselves in weird situations, such as waiting in line for 7 hours for Anime Expo Badges, but I’m sure it’s their passion that puts them over the edge.
In my free time in between shifts at Anime Expo though, I BARELY enjoyed walking around encountering crowds anywhere. Think Disneyland, with no clear “ride” at the end to justify your miserable experience. Perhaps if I was into Anime more, I would be captivated, but sadly I am not.
Luckily for me, I took the high road and thoroughly enjoyed volunteering giving out swag at the door of the convention (mostly guides / programs).
Afterwards, I went to a coworker’s place for quite interesting festivities that involved food, some drinks, and the worst game in the world – Cards Against Humanity. We also saw a terrible Pacquiao fight where he was robbed once more.
