My travels are just about to start! The first stop of course is a boring one, ATLANTA for a layover. I woke up at 2:30 AM in the morning, uber’ed over the airport, and dealt with the annoying airline customer service (as usual), before getting on my flight by 5:30. I am now in Atlanta, Georgia awaiting the upcoming 9 hour flight, which will certainly be interesting to say the least.

I don’t have much to say, so I’ll just list the 5 times I have now been on planes (10, if you count roundtrip). For some, this might seem like nothing. For others, this might seem like a lot. I’m certainly very lucky to have had the opportunities I’ve had, and hope to create more every summer and breaks as long as I continue teaching.

Trip 1: To Oregon, for PACURH 2010. My first time on a plane, my ears popped dramatically, and it hurt. But I guess I got used to it since then.
Trip 2: To Iowa, for the Ron Paul 2012 Presidential Campaign. My first time on a plane alone. It wasn’t too bad I suppose. The ride back was terrible though, for of course Rick Santorum stole the Iowa Caucuses from him. Stupid Media. CNN is Fake News.
Trip 3: To San Francisco, for STCA Conference. This was fun, I guess, until they almost delayed my flight back because of their dumb overbooking policies.
Trip 4: To Chicago, to visit my friend. No complaints here, at least. O’Hare is a nice airport.
Trip 5: To Hawaii, for 2016 End of the Year Life Experience Lesson. Fun Field Trip, except for the fact that I got sick there.
Anyway, I hope this trip supersedes all others, and I foresee no real problems on the plane. This will be the first time I will receiving a plane meal and I will most likely be disappointed.
