Day 2 of France was a dramatic improvement of activities and food in comparison to yesterday’s.

After checking out the worst hotel yet {1 star for bed bugs and unsanitary breakfast, it was hopefully going to be a better day. Even though the weather forecasted rain, the day was as dry as California on a hot summer day.

First, we visited the World War I memorial in Verdun, where we honored all the French lives lost in the Great War. It was super sad, historical, and yet of grand importance. 4 stars.

Secondly, we went to Nancy where we had delicious lunch in the form of Kebabs. By far the best food in Europe thus far, 4 stars.

We had a desert tasting at my friend’s pastry shop which ended up being delicious. I had a taste of heaven in my mouth for brief seconds before coming back down to earth. 3 stars.

The nap on the bus was super efficient, me using the curtains as a dense mechanism against the light. 4 stars.

We checked into our hotels in Strasbourg before having German Pasta and burgers in  Petite France. It was decent. 3 stars.

The day itself proved itself a successful one as we chilled in lobby the rest of the night. It was kind of fun. 2 stars
