1st Grade was fun. I’m pretty sure I met my best friend Danny again at this point, but sometime halfway throughout the school year they split our grade level in half. It was weird.

I remember having a cereal box at school and putting all my assignments and activities in it. It was fun. I thoroughly enjoyed that grade, and I think I was no longer behaving badly or defiantly in class by that point.

I think I liked the show Bananas in Pajamas by that point as well. What a chill life that was.

Oh look, I’m actually smiling in a school environment. Let’s hope that’s not the last time ever.

Anyway, when I got home from school I engaged in a variety of activities which included:

  1. Skating outside with siblings
  2. Going to liquor store and buying random garbage with siblings
  3. Playing with toys (including my sister’s Barbie Dolls)
  4. Watching television. The Simpsons <3

It was an easy life, and one I would rather switch to at this point in my adult career. While I was busy playing, sadly my parents were busy working most of the time.

I think I started getting bullied around 1st grade, but at this point it was mostly teasing and nothing physical yet. And so, it begs the question, was it really bullying or just teasing? I’m not sure, but I think I was a little sad about it at the time.

The top movie of the year was Titanic, which I hardly think deserves that title. The top song of the year was Candle in the Wind, by Elton John, who me and my siblings could have sworn was gay. I guess we were right in our predictions at the time.
