The best conversations, aside from ones right before going to sleep (pillowtalk, as I would like to call it), are the ones on long hikes. It forces you to socialize with the person or persons around you and leaves little room for distraction.
The most significant portion of our conversation at Eaton Canyon today came from Robert’s theory that life is essentially an RPG, a role-playing game. Essentially, as we get older, we’re basically leveling up our skills in life. As he moves out of his parents’ place this upcoming week, he will be forced to level up new skills and face new challenges. I wish him inevitable luck in the process.

Two skills I am working on include cooking and reading. In the arena of cooking, I made some rib-eyed steak and broccoli today for my 2nd unique meal of the year. The picture never looks appetizing.

In the arena of books, I finished a “self-help” joke book, which masks all of its self-help in the context of jokes, which fits me perfectly. I have attached a joke for review below:
