Day 45: Clifford Mao’s Thoughts on 2020

With the 2020 Presidential Race upon us, it was time for an expert to weigh in on the prospects.

Clifford Mao obviously is rooting for Bernie Sanders. The establishment obviously wants Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, or Joe Biden, but we all know what happened in 2016 when the establishment “chose their pick”.

Andrew Yang’s presence in the race is solely to entertain the prospects of UBI, which Clifford supports. Universal Basic Income would guarantee income to everyone in the face of growing automation. And though I largely disagree with him on the idea that automation would ever replace that many jobs, he seems to think it will happen sooner rather than later.

Of course he doesn’t support Howard Schultz’s run as an independent either. Though we differ in our political beliefs, I respect him enough and hope he chooses to invest heavily in this next election and continue to stay informed, unlike most other Americans.

As for my pick against Donald Trump, I support Tulsi Gabbard because she the only clearly outspoken anti-interventionist (very similar to Ron Paul) in her foreign policy beliefs.
