Boba is an essential staple of any Asian diet. Now that my new year resolutions have all effectively been broken, I’m back on the boba bandwagon.
In conversing with Michelle Smith I was able to determine her favorite boba locales in the WORLD. She claims that the rankings are mostly based on sentimental value, so I’m going to assume that the drinks are actually pretty subpar there.
- Ching Shin Fu Chuan Tea Station. This is in Taiwan, so I will never go there. It however, has yakult green tea. I don’t personally like yakult yogurt, but she does.
- Boba guys in San Francisco – They have horchata. There’s one in Los Angeles now, so I’ll probably go there instead.
- Verde in downtown mountain View in Palo Alto.
- Half and Half – only because of how much sugar content there is inside the drinks.
- Tea N More – A staple in her years in San Diego.
Even though I disagree with most of her choices, I imagine we’ll continue to have boba in the future.
