One of the only Koreans from middle school that I still remember who existed, Kevin Kim is well on his way to success. Best of all ladies – he is single!
I remember in middle school when he lied to me and said there was a requirement to get a paper signed to graduate. I went to the office and asked and embarrassed myself. Mad after said incident, my immature and insecure self ignored Kevin for 2 months after. Looking back it was a pretty funny prank though.
Kevin Kim is a supporter of Andrew Yang on the sole criteria that he is an Asian running for president. Yay for identity politics. We placed a bet on whether Tulsi Gabbard or Andrew Yang would do better in the primaries and whoever loses has to pay for the other person’s Korean bbq – a la carte. We will see what happens. It is still a little too early to actually see how the primaries will play out. I’m okay with anyone that is not a typical corporatist.
I’m glad Kevin still is willing to discuss politics with me and his fascination with rap music. I’m happy that despite our differences culturally (Korean vs Vietnamese) we are still able to succinctly catch up from time to time. Good luck to him as he continues in his professional career and growth.
