Karlie Fernandez is the most Asian-washed Hispanic I have ever met in my life. And this was most evident at karaoke where she was able to belt out some BTS lyrics with only Asian subtitles to read from.
She likes watching Korean dramas and listening to Kpop. She eats Asian food. She watches anime. And her sister knows some Asian languages. Meanwhile, all she knows is how to say Ni Hao.
Which is essentially pretty useless at summer camp, but whatever works for her, I guess.
She’s fun to be around I guess, and I’m happy she abandoned the east coast to come back to the best coast. I wish her the best of luck at Fairmont if she chooses to retire there. See you soon, Ni Hao.
