Karen is my best friend.
Even though we’re best friends, we didn’t hang out once during Anime Expo 2019, because we worked in completely different areas.
That being said, it was nice to see her at lunch sometimes. I asked her if she missed her children at some point, and she said no.
I aspire to be like her one day, to volunteer for a week at Anime conventions without missing my children at all.
I hope to see her again next year as AM; if not, I will have to find a new best friend I will never see at AX2020.
