Mackenzie Fernandez is a complicated character. Hispanic by blood, Appears white on the outside, actually Asian on the inside. Which makes her pretty mixed.
Having interacted with many teenagers in my life, she is definitely very well grounded and more mature than many of her other counterparts. Her relationship with her family is complicated, and yet she aspires to not repeat the mistakes of her ancestors. Learning from history so to speak.
Her interactions with children are great at camp because she is like a child herself (and closest to them in age for sure). I wish her the best of luck in her last year of high school and hope she continues to be an amazing person that I will continue to respect in the future. May she learn from all her mistakes and trials in life.
