Our first official vacation together was a few months into the start of our relationship, in December 2019, when we went on a lovely Carnival Cruise. It was both our first time on a cruise and in Mexico in particular.
The cruise itself was pretty mid. The food was hit or miss. Buffet options were terrible, Guy Fieri’s Burgers were pretty good, the breakfast dining was good, and some of the dining options at night were good. On the last night, I did order some Chow Mein, but the noodles were hard and disgusting in general. I was sadly disappointed. The shows were okay, but not nearly to the level of quality that I would have hoped.
We went to La Bufadora blowhole, which had delicious tacos, but so many people tried to sell us crap. Quite a tourist trap I must admit. I accidentally broke something while exploring this area, but the seller ended up not charging me for it, which was very nice.
Needless to say, I’m pretty sure I would not go back on a Carnival Cruise, as cheap as it was. However, we had a great time together. Can’t wait for our cruise upgrade in March when we go on a Disney Cruise, which will hopefully be way better.
