Married vs. Single-Life

After approximately one month of married life, it’s essential to outline why a happy marriage is better than the life of singlehood.

  1. Emotional support in times that are stressful, such as the fear of losing your job for example.
  2. Companionship: Having a friend around you forever, and not feeling lonely during important important holidays, such as cuffing season.
  3. Personal growth: Marriage can give you opportunities to improve yourself in different ways for your partner. For example, I now wash my hands every time I use the bathroom and wash my feet before setting foot in the bed.
  4. Intimacy: A higher degree of intimacy can be achieved through a long-lasting relationship.
  5. Legal benefits: Tax breaks, among other things.

Of course, it’s important to note that being married is only better than being single if you’re in a happy marriage. There are plenty of people in the world who are unhappily married, and they’d probably be better off alone than in a toxic relationship.
